Comparing enshroud and Seek, Half past twain and Leaving schoolFor this essay I am going to analyze the quarrel in three poems andhow they show the persons feelings. These poems are Hide and SeekHalf past both and Leaving School.Hide and seek is written in a 3rd person perspective. The delivery isdescriptive, simple, atmospheric and childlike in the way that it drug ab designspersonification (giving things human names). The poem suggests that itis in a 3rd person perspective by the use of the word you at the endof the poem. The end of the poem is also in truth sad and lonely, enhancedby the darkness described. All these factors together father a dark,lonely and up ground mood, these factors are easily sh let by thechilds citation which is soft, small, frightened and easily upsetfrom the description that we get.Half past Two is also written in a third person perspective. The verbiage and viewpoint of the entire poem is that of a young childspoint of view, this is shown in the language. The language shows thisby its simplicity, its child like words and the way that the generatorputs words together with no spaces.The language also has some rhymed words in it. The childs characteris simple, he knows what he knows, but thats it and he showsinnocence in the way he thinks. The mood is not actually set because thedescription does not include the weather, of a descriptive setting butwe get a disoriented and scared mood from the confused child. Thestructure is simple with some italic writing to create vehemence andthe writer uses 3 lined stanzas.Leaving School is written in a first person perspective and thelanguage is a hole more complicated but still easily understood thelanguage in the poem is also very emotional. The poem is about a boythat is missing home and is easily upset, the poem also gives use afeeling that he is being forced to grow up to fast, because of some ofthe simple things he is worried about and the things he gets wrong. Atthe end of th e poem the child keeps on drifting in to his ownimaginary world and also shows his lack of confidence. The mood isupsetting and lonely, this is created by the childs sad situation.The structure of the poem is in three chunks of lines, and the
